Spring 2026 Covid-19 Vaccination Programme (Booster)
The NHS has announced the Spring 2026 COVID-19 vaccination programme, aimed at providing a booster dose to those at higher risk of serious illness. The campaign runs from 13 April 2026 to 30 June 2026.
Eligibility
The following groups are eligible for a spring booster:
- Adults aged 75 years and over (including those who turn 75 by 30 June 2026).
- Residents in a care home for older adults.
- Individuals aged 6 months and over with a weakened immune system (immunosuppressed).
Key Details
- Vaccines Used: Updated vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, or Sanofi) targeting recent COVID-19 variants (Omicron) are used.
- Timing: Eligible individuals are advised to get their booster around 6 months after their last dose, though it can be administered as soon as 3 months.
- Booking: Appointments can be booked through the NHS App, by calling 119, or via the NHS website COVID-19 vaccine - NHS Some sites also offer walk-in appointments.
- Final Date: The last date to get the spring vaccine is 30 June 2026.
